When the institute was first established in 1994, it offered faculty in the arts. In 2009, it added colleges of commerce and science to its list of offerings. The Department of Chemistry was established in the same year and began offering undergraduate courses. Since then, the department’s undergraduate curriculum has expanded to include a Postgraduate Chemistry Programme. It now provides a certificate Programme that focuses on the construction and upkeep of fundamental knowledge. The department currently has two well-stocked laboratories with all the tools, equipment, and specimens needed. Two faculty members on a contract and four permanent faculty members meet the necessary standards for staffing.

About physics
Physics is the branch of science that studies matter, energy, and the fundamental forces of nature. It seeks to understand how the universe works, from the smallest particles like atoms to the largest structures like galaxies. Physics explains natural phenomena such as motion, heat, light, sound, electricity, and magnetism through laws and principles. It is divided into various branches, including classical physics, modern physics, thermodynamics, optics, and quantum mechanics. By studying physics, we can understand concepts like gravity, energy transfer, and the behavior of materials. Physics plays a vital role in the development of technology, such as computers, medical equipment, transportation systems, and renewable energy solutions. It encourages logical thinking and problem-solving skills while providing the foundation for innovations that improve our daily lives. Overall, physics helps us explore the mysteries of the universe and use scientific knowledge to benefit society.
